Jersey Woolys [2 Images] My sister and I have decided to breed Jersey woolys. We are breeding right now for body type-we will worry about color later. I got our first jersey from the 2007 kalkaska County Fair. he was only about 2 months old and as cute as a button! I just had to have one! there were 3 in his litter and I looked all 3 over to pick the best. at the time I knew almost nothing about jerseys so I used my genaral knowlage. 1 was a defanat no, the other was a maybe, but as soon as I saw his body I knew he was the one. I thought he was a REW-Like his mother-but he soon devloped points. at first I thougth they were blue but as he got older I notesd that they were chocolate. I showed him at the 2008 Kalkaska County Fair and he won 1st SR Buck over my dutch that has alredy won BOB and sevral Legs!! We just bought 2 new does, 1 broken black jr w/o butterfly and 1 black sr w/white furs. I curently have the broken JR and will be picking up the sr later. |

Mini Rex Bucks [3 Images] I (Rachel) Started breeding rabbits in 2005. I got my first from Alice & Emily Reeber (Me & Em's Rabbitry) after my guiny pig, Woodie (age 6), died and I coulnt find any others. He was a butifal Blue Buck (RIP Ruger) that we named Razzle. He never saw a show table or had any babies. He was quite big and didnt have the best body type but I wanted more! I googled info about breding rabbits almost every day for around 6 months-by the time I got the doe I knew a lot and what to expect when I bred them. the Doe was a Nice Black MR named Maggie. I got her from Alice & Em too. After she grew up I realized that she was smaller than Razz and I had read that I couldnt breed a big buck to a small doe so once again I went to Alice & Emm and bought a small black SR buck that alredy had sevral awards. his name was Black Jack. After I got him He earnd sevral other awards and I regesterd him. All of my home bread Mini Rex are related to Maggie and the best are related to Maggie & BJ. We decided to sell all of our rabbits a couple months ago exept a couple Pets and I cpuldnt part with My Seals (got my first out of an axident litter and fell Head over Heels as soon as he got his shading in). in Summer of 08 we finaly got our first seals and a sable So now we have some to breed to Mucky. NEWS FLASH!!! I shoed mucky, Stellar, and Champ at the CMRBA Mason show. Champ won 1st place and BOSV agenst his fother (mucky) who won 2nd. Stellar won first too. We finally showed agenst some compition not from our line! the JR doe won BOV. |
